| Orange Spain |
DanCell was hired by Siemens to assist in the development of the business opportunity in connection with the third mobile license in Spain being granted to Amena in 1997. Amena has since become Orange Spain.
The cooperation involved management support regarding the network roll out strategy, and extensive radio planning of the whole country and eventually led to Siemens gaining 50% of the total GSM infrastructure deliveries for the network in Spain. The other 50% were split between Ericsson and Nokia at the time.
In the following three and a half years DanCell had substantial involvement in the successful implementation of the network making Amena (Orange) the preferred mobile network with the fastest subscriber growth in Spain by the end of the contract.
